(written approximately at a quarter to midnight)
Connect me
To the distant seas and the salty breeze and the lonely sunlit sails.
Awake me
To the forestries of silent trees and their whispered, quiet tales.
Allow me
To reach the peak and not be weak as I scale the mountain high.
Affect me
When I see the stars like a thousand words etched in the midnight sky
Detach me
From the constant strife, and the pains of life that forever fence my way.
Assist me
To forget the lies, to shed disguise, to throw it all away.
Assure me
That I shall never be just the lonely me, because I need your help.
Connect me
To the distant seas, the forestries, the stars, and to myself.
1Life.
Amazing. You are really a good poet.

Was, rather. Poetry doesn’t come often any more. But thanks.
There’s a pretty dark little story behind this poem though.
